Zoey Deutch says that growing up in a Hollywood household gave her a 'unique perspective' on how to make it in show business.
The 23-year-old Los Angeles native, whose mother is Back To The Future's Lea Thompson and father is veteran director Howard Deutch, spoke to Capitol File magazine on a number of topics, including how her background helped prepare her for the lights, camera and action of Hollywood.
'Look, all artists pull from their personal experiences, and anyone who tells you that isn’t the case is out of their mind, but growing up in this business definitely gave me a unique perspective on the job,' the 5ft4 actress told the publication. 'I learned early on to value preparation. I take that seriously.'

'I want to have the opportunity to play different people and keep mixing it up,' she said. 'That’s important to me.'
