Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the 42-year-old said she and her bandmates were close to both Harry and William in their youth, and would often visit them at home amid their busy schedules.

When asked about her relationship with the Princes, who she first met eleven years ago, the America's Got Talent judge said: 'Oh, they're great. They're great kids.'
In a more surprising admission however, Mel went on to reveal the girl group would often visit the boys for unexpectedly humble dinners.
She added: 'We'd go over to their house and have peanut butter and jelly sandwiches! And we would have beans on toast.'
