It is one of the most popular shows on the BBC, and even bagged the TV BAFTA Award for Best Drama last month.  

But Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight has hinted that yet another big star could be joining the already stellar cast - hard man Vinnie Jones. 

While Steven remained tight-lipped on the progress of series five, he was quick to praise Vinnie, 53, for his 'presence' on-screen - fuelling rumours he will appear on the gangster drama next year.

The 59-year-old made the confession on Alan Brazil's radio show - which Vinnie also appeared on later that day.

Discussing the new series of the gritty drama, set to air in spring 2019, Steven said: 'The cast will be the same with some additions.

'I think Vinnie is a person, some people have just got it, where they have a presence about them with the screen - they tend to catch the eye.
