His split from his model wife of nine years was announced earlier this week.

And Boris Becker covered up his ring-free left hand as he stepped out in Paris, France on Thursday, after revealing he had removed his ring earlier this week.

The tennis legend, 50, who has travelled to France to work as a pundit during the French Open, kept a chestnut jacket slung over his left hand as he made his way to Roland Garros.

Keeping a sombre face, the Wimbledon champion donned a black slogan print t-shirt paired with matching trousers and monochrome trainers.

His platinum locks were styled in a quiff and he kept his eyes covered with a pair of dark shades.

The star also wore a prestigious VIP lanyard around his neck.     

This comes days after a Berlin lawyer for the couple confirmed the breakup of three-time Wimbledon winner Becker, 50, and his Dutch wife in a statement toBild newspaper.

Lawyer Christian-Oliver Moser said: 'The decision after a 13-year-long relationship and nine years of marriage wasn't an easy one.' 

Moser said the couple's main concern now was the well-being of their eight-year-old son Amadeus and insisted that the separation was 'amicable.'   

Friends reportedly said the marriage was 'in trouble' in 2017 before Boris was made bankrupt and that she had been spending more time in The Netherlands.

Reflecting on their woes, Lilly told The Daily Mail's Richard Eden in March that they had gone for relationship therapy to save their nine-year union and were now 'doing good' with hopes for more children.  

'I've had a rough year,' she explained. 'At first, I let go completely — in every way. 

'Too much drinking, too much smoking, too much going out and not caring. I thought: my life sucks and I'm going to die.'
