Moment he hit rock bottom? Troubling Sunrise footage resurfaces of Grant Denyer ...

When Grant Denyer collected his Gold Logie on Sunday night, he tearfully spoke of the time he was 'very unwell'.

Referencing his stint in a Thai health facility in 2013, the 40-year-old admitted he had been 'in a hole' before Family Feud came along and revived his career.

And now footage of the former weatherman's final day on Sunrise has resurfaced, showing Grant looking gaunt, twitchy and distracted during those difficult days.

The footage, filmed in March 2013, shows Grant resigning live on air and speaking about the difficulties of travelling constantly for the job.

He also discussed his daughter, Sailor, needing to spend more time with her father.

'It's the greatest job in the world, but now that Sailor is nearly two she probably needs to find out who her dad is,' he said.

But throughout the broadcast, Grant was distracted, swinging erratically from side to side and constantly looking off camera and up to the sky.

He appeared very slim, and seemed to struggle to keep still, his arms and legs moving constantly as he spoke.

In early 2014, Woman's Day published false claims Grant had undergone rehabilitation for a $200,000 a year methamphetamine addiction which he vehemently denied.

Sources have since come forward saying the television star exhibited 'erratic' behaviour while at the Seven Network and was know to send bosses 'weird text messages at all hours of the night'.
