The promotional tour has begun for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald.

And the cast of the film made a glamorous appearance at San Diego Comic Con on Saturday, to discuss the latest instalment in J.K. Rowling's Fantastic Beasts franchise.

Jude Law, 45, was joined on stage by Eddie Redmayne, 36, Ezra Miller, 25, in a quirky outfit, and a rather ominous-looking Johnny Depp, 55, who stepped out on stage in character as Gellert Grindelwald.

Discussing the film in Hall H during Warner Bros two hour panel, Jude said: 'There's an awful lot at stake, it's very much about whose side you are on in the story.

'The muggle world [and] the wizarding world [are] somewhat pitted against each other but also the wizards within the wizarding world are suddenly asked what side are they on, what side of the line they choose to join. 

'So, everything is at stake really, I don't know, I'd say it's possibly... the depths and the darkness in this story are possibly the darkest that this world has [seen] before.'

Eddie later went on stage with his character's wand which, according to one Twitter user made everyone's bracelets in the Hall light up.

At the event, Warner Bros unveiled the second trailer for the film which was full of action and unexpected reveals.

Giving a more in-depth look at Newt and Dumbeldore's fight against Grindelwald, the new footage showed the Elder Wand as well as a glimpse at the creator of the Philosopher's Stone Nicholas Flamel.
