This is the gruesome moment a brave podiatrist carves a huge hole into a man’s big toe in order to remove an ingrown nail.
The stomach-churning procedure was performed in December 2018 by Marion Yau at London's Harley Street Foot and Nail Clinic.
Ms Yau – known as Miss Foot Fixer – said the patient's problem was an extreme example of the painful, but common, condition.

'This is a very bad case of ingrown toenail as the piece of nail left inside his toe was very big,' she said.
'Usually the ingrown toenails are not as big and the infection usually does not leave such a big whole in the foot.
