Mother-of-two left with a 'cobra neck' after a botched face lift

A mother-of-two had her 'cobra neck' fixed by plastic surgeons so strangers would stop calling her 'grandma'.

Lisa, whose last name is not known, had gone under the knife for a face lift a few years ago - but the procedure failed and made her skin sag.

Lisa, who is in her fifties, first met her husband Paul - who's 15 years her junior - when she was 37, and he was 22.

They had two daughters by surrogate, but although they never felt the age gap was an issue, others questioned if she was in fact the grandma to her girls.

Now, after being seen by Botched's Dr Paul Nassif and Dr Terry Dubrow, she feels ten years younger with a smooth neck.

Lisa, in her mid-fifties, had gone under the knife for a face lift a few years ago but the procedure failed and made her skin sag around her jaw. She turned to Dr Terry Dubrow and Dr Paul Nassif as part of TV series Botched

Lisa and Paul, from Texas, wed eight years after meeting and have been married for almost a decade since.

Shortly after marrying, the couple found a surrogate to deliver their first child Madison in 2008, and their second, Marshall, in 2012.

After having Marshall, Lisa recalled more people asking her if she was the children's grandmother instead.

She said: 'It made me start looking at myself.

'I know I was old enough to be a grandmother but I didn't want to look like a grandma.'

Lisa went to a plastic surgeon to see what he could do to correct her face.

'He said a deep plane face lift is going to last you about 20 years and I thought, "that's great, that way I can age out with Paul".'

This type of face lift doesn't pull the skin tight as a traditional one does. Instead, it works the tissue underneath.

After the surgery, things started to go downhill for Lisa straight away as her face swelled around the chin and neck.

She said: 'A week after surgery I could feel that things were pulling loose under my chin and as time went on it just kept falling more and more and then you could see the cobra neck.

'My daughter said, "Mum, it looks like you neck is falling down".'

Lisa had been promised an anti-ageing face lift. But after the operation, her face swelled and left her neck drooping where it shouldn't. (Pictures of her bruising and swelling)
