Leeds United players Pablo Hernandez and Bailey Peacock-Farrell made a surprise visit to a young fan who has already undergone two open heart surgeries at the age of 5.
The Elland Road side named the Children's Heart Surgery Fund as their charity of the year for the 2018-19 season on Friday, prior to their 0-0 draw against Middlesbrough in the evening.
And the charity told Leeds about Freddie, 5, who was born with Alagille syndrome. Alagille is a rare life-threatening heart and liver disease, leading to Freddie's surgeries and having had a liver transplant.
