Class of 92 and club owners Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville and Nicky Butt were all in attendance as Salford ended a run of four straight defeats. But they were also accompanied in the stands by former manager Sir Alex Ferguson and club legend Denis Law. The Scot turned 77 on New Year's Eve and joined his Class of 92 legends for lunch at The Ivy in Manchester just last year. Their presence on Tuesday appeared to have the desired effect as Salford roused themselves to return to winning ways. Victory over their promotion rivals puts them third in the table, one point behind Wrexham and five adrift of leaders Leyton Orient.
