Ralph Hasenhuttl says James Ward-Prowse is the man to step in for suspended captain Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg at Chelsea on Wednesday.
Hojbjerg misses Southampton's next four games after his red card for a wild lunge on Fernandinho during the 3-1 defeat by Manchester City.
Hasenhuttl wanted to build his side around the influential Dane, but he feels he has found a replacement in Ward-Prowse.
