MAN CITY 4-3-3
EDERSON 8
Was inches from scoring an own goal after Stones’s clearance came back off him. Would have been desperately unlucky for the Brazilian.
DANILO 7
Surprisingly started on the right rather than the left but City’s defenders contained Liverpool well. Did not venture too far forward.

BERNARDO SILVA 8
Filled in for Kevin De Bruyne, who only made the bench after his injury. Was as competitive as anyone in the centre of the field.
FERNANDINHO 9
City’s losses in his absence showed how much he was missed. He was outstanding in the centre as he bossed midfield.
Sergio Aguero scored for seventh successive game against Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium
DAVID SILVA 7
Midfield magician became City’s jointrecord appearance holder on 266. Not given a lot of time on the ball as Liverpool pressed him.
RAHEEM STERLING 7
Facing his old club and up against Robertson, which turned into a contest you could not keep your eyes off. Kept going until the end.
SERGIO AGUERO 8.5
