Southampton goalkeeper Angus Gunn is on course to replace club team-mate Alex McCarthy in Gareth Southgate's next England squad.
Having made his first-ever Premier League appearance at the expense of McCarthy in Wednesday's 0-0 draw with Chelsea, Gunn is now emerging as a prime contender to replace his colleague on the international scene.
Gunn was excellent in the credible draw at Stamford Bridge and is now expected to be given a chance to establish himself as Ralph Hassenhuttl's No 1.
