Manchester United trained in the sunshine of Dubai one final time on Thursday before heading home for a defining phase of their season. And it was a case of the morning after the night before for youngster Angel Gomes following his initiation ceremony. The 18-year-old performed a rendition of We Are Young by Fun in front of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his team-mates as they squad visited the swanky PLAY Restaurant and Bar on Wednesday night. United will fly back to Manchester ahead of Sunday's crunch Premier League fixture at Tottenham Hotspur as they aim to maintain their 100 per cent winning record under interim manager Solskjaer. Gomes is one of a number of academy graduates Solskjaer has been looking at to bolster his first-team squad ahead of a challenging run of fixtures that sees United face Spurs in the Premier League, Arsenal in the FA Cup and Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. Indeed, the Norwegian blocked plans to loan Gomes out this January and brought him on at Old Trafford during the Boxing Day Premier League match with Huddersfield Town. That was the third time Gomes has featured in the United first team, having made his Premier League debut against Crystal Palace during the 2016-17 campaign. His other appearance came as a late substitute in United's 4-0 FA Cup win at Yeovil Town in the fourth round of the FA Cup last season. He is likely to be included in further United squads this season as his stock at Old Trafford continues to rise. United have won five matches from five under Solskjaer's charge since he replaced the sacked Jose Mourinho last month. They have defeated Cardiff City, Huddersfield Town, Bournemouth and Newcastle United in the Premier League, as well as Reading in the third round of the FA Cup. Reflecting on the week in Dubai, Solskjaer said: 'It's been great. You know it's a long, hard season and we'll have ups and downs together. 'You've got to deal with the wins, defeats, setbacks and players not playing but, when you work together, they all want to play and they all want the best for their team-mates and everyone understands this is a team game.' Solskjaer will hold a press conference at 8.45pm UK time following the team's return to British soil. All rights reserved for this news site dailymail and under his responsibility
