Barcelona knocked Levante out of the Copa del Rey to advance to the quarter-finals but must now wait to see if the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) uphold Levante’s complaint that they played an ineligible player in the first leg.
Levante President Quique Catalan said before the match: ‘Independent of the result Levante will take the situation to the RFEF regarding the possible ineligible line-up of Barcelona.’
