Wolves legend David Edwards has been ruled out of an 'amazing' reunion with his former club in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday.
The Shrewsbury Town midfielder aborted attempts to train on Thursday following tightness in his groin and has told the League One club's manager Sam Ricketts he can't be considered for the weekend.
Edwards, 32, played more than 300 games at Molineux between 2008 and 2017, being promoted and relegated on two occasions each. He also played for Wales at Euro 2016 alongside Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey.
