Steve Bruce has revealed he is watching England play cricket in the West Indies this week as a promise to his father in law.
He was appointed Sheffield Wednesday manager earlier this month, but does not take charge until February 1 due to family commitments.
Having lost both his parents last year Bruce was keen to take time away from football after he was sacked by Aston Villa in October.

But now he admits he can't wait to get started at Hillsborough next week.
'I've had a bit of family time and it was agreed I'd take over on February 1. It was a tough year for me with the family situation', he told the Test Match Special podcast.
'It was vitally important that I spent a bit of time with them. But I'm looking forward to getting back started, it's been a wonderful experience.'
Bruce was pictured watching England's cricketers in their final net session ahead of the first Test earlier this week.
Deep in conversation with Moeen Ali, Stuart Broad and Jonny Bairstow, he admitted it was a 'fascinating' experience too see how the game has changed and evolved.
