Batshuayi was valued between £35million and £40m by Chelsea, but Palace could not afford to meet those demands making a permanent transfer impossible. But provisional paperwork was submitted prior to Thursday's 11pm deadline, allowing Palace to complete the deal in the early hours of Friday morning. Crystal Palace have loaned Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi, pictured playing for Valencia Batshuayi, who spent the first half of the season on loan at Valencia, will see out the remainder of the campaign at Selhurst Park. The Belgian striker was still in Spain on Thursday and therefore unable to pose for a picture in his new club's colours. But he posted a tweet comprising of three emoji's — a red circle and a blue circle alongside an eagle. And Palace also tweeted, writing the message: 'Batsman Returns to London!' Palace chairman Steve Parish told the club'official website: 'This is a fantastic signing for Crystal Palace. 'Michy is a player we've long admired, and I'm delighted that we've finally managed to get him in a red and blue shirt. He will be a magnificent addition to our squad.' Batshuayi is expected to be available to make his Palace debut against Fulham on Saturday.
