However, staying at Milan is my dream and it is the thought fixed in my mind, but I have a contract with Chelsea.' After failing to start any of Milan's first nine league games, the 24-year-old has recaptured his form starting 11 of the Serie A side's last 12 league matches. Gattuso's side sit fourth in the Italian top division, one point above Roma and a mammoth 24 points behind leaders Juventus. The Milan boss admitted Bakayoko struggled at the start of his loan spell but is now performing at a higher level. The 24-year-old struggled for form during his first season at the Blues under Antonio Conte 'I think he's an atypical deep-lying midfielder in modern football', Gattuso told Rai Sport. 'He can turn the moves from defensive to attacking, he takes men on and always gets past them. 'He has learned so much about transitions, as at the start he got it wrong most of the time, but today he can do diagonal runs and close off the passing channels.'
