There are those in football who believe that Pep Guardiola has led a charmed life in management.
Wherever he has been in charge, Guardiola has inherited a star-studded squad and had considerable financial backing - at Barcelona, at Bayern Munich and now at Manchester City.
Arsenal manager Unai Emery is not a pupil of that school of thought.

Emery and Guardiola have been head-to-head on eleven occasions in their careers and the City manager is unbeaten - he has recorded seven wins and there have been four draws.
The latest confrontation came in Emery's first match in charge at Arsenal - a 2-0 home defeat at the Emirates in the Premier League.
While Guardiola took over a squad laced with proven ability, Emery has been handed the task of re-shaping the squad following the Arsene Wenger dynasty and with severe financial restrictions.
