The FA has charged Sheffield United forward Sophie Jones with racially abusing Tottenham defender Renee Hector in last month's Women's Championship game at the Sheffield Olympic Legacy Stadium.
Hector wrote on Twitter shortly after the January 6 match that she 'received some monkey noises from an opposition player' during the contest.
A statement on the FA Spokesperson Twitter account on Thursday read: 'Sheffield United FC Women's player Sophie Jones has today been charged with a breach of FA Rule E3.
