Much more is still required for Marcelo Bielsa to return this famous old club to the Premier League but there is relish that Leeds remembered what they are about on Wednesday night.

These have been troubling weeks, four defeats in seven and the microscope of Skygate, yet Leeds are back atop the Championship with a display that was in Bielsa’s image.

The basics were back, a tigerish appetite and a distinctive drive in possession that befuddles so many in this division. Bielsa has bemoaned poor finishing and while Patrick Bamford was guilty of missing chances, it mattered not.
