Raheem Sterling made the most of Manchester City's FA Cup trip to Newport by meeting up with a young fan who he had written to after he suffered racial abuse.

Aspiring footballer Ethan Ross, who plays for the Welsh club's Under 14 side, received a letter from Sterling in January after his grandmother wrote to the England star about the 'tough time' the boy was having.

And Sterling went one step further after City's 4-1 victory on Saturday evening as he met up with the 13-year-old to pass on some words of advice face-to-face.
