The Bernabeu boos might be getting to Gareth Bale but Sportsmail has learned he has no intention of walking away from the club and believes he can end this season as he has ended his previous five campaigns by scoring important goals that help win trophies.
There was the customary light smattering of jeers and whistles for him on Sunday as Real Madrid lost in the league to Girona. He carried the can in various media too despite only appearing as a substitute in the last 20 minutes.
That defeat capped a miserable week when team-mate Marcelo said in an interview that he doesn't communicate in Spanish and Thibaut Courtois revealed his nickname is 'The Golfer' and bemoaned his no-show at a recent late-night team dinner.
Gareth Bale has no plans of leaving Real Madrid despite another indifferent season at the club

This is despite him only coming on as a second-half substitute during the shock loss on Sunday
Bale accepts that he's seen as different in the Madrid dressing room. He'd rather be in bed asleep than still ordering dessert at 11pm. At some clubs that would be considered professionalism, if at Madrid it counts against him sometimes then so be it. Toni Kroos is another no-show for such nights out and, like Bale, still doesn't speak to the local media in Spanish.
Bale has also taken the Courtois interview in his stride though it did him few favours. What he has become increasingly exasperated by is the lack of affection from supporters who have never been won over by him despite his 100 goals and 14 trophies in five-and-half-seasons.
The statistics show that he has out-performed the club's famous 'Galaticos' even topping former coach Zinedine Zidane. The twitter account Twitugal published a comparison between Bale and Ronaldo Nazario, Luis Figo and Zidane this month.
In five-and-half-seasons Bale has won 14 trophies, scored 100 goals and, at the time the tweet was published, played 217 games. Zidane, in five seasons, played 239 games, scored 49 goals and won six trophies. Bale's figures match up just as well against Ronaldo and Figo.
The most recent wave of criticism has upset the man who bought Bale to Madrid in 2013. His agent Jonathan Barnett told Sportsmail: 'The criticism is laughable. A player who has won everything at the club deserves more respect. He's won four Champions Leagues in five years. He's scored some of the biggest goals in the club's history.'
