The Ferrari show kept up into a second day in Barcelona, with the new boy Charles Leclerc topping the morning time sheets.

But British-born Thai Alexander Albon spun his Toro Rosso on the first lap. The session was red-flagged just after it had started. The 22-year-old rookie was unhurt and went on to drive 61 laps, albeit with a minor spin later on at Turn 10.

His team boss Franz Tost blamed the original 'off' on a change made overnight to the steering wheel
