Harry Kane is in contention to face Burnley for Tottenham at Turf Moor on Saturday after returning to training ahead of schedule.
The 25-year-old England captain injured an ankle in the defeat by Manchester United on January 13 and was expected to be out until March.
The ligament damage to his ankle was expected to keep Kane out for at least two months, meaning he would miss 11 games or more.
