Neymar cuts solumn figure on crutches at Barcelona airport as PSG star continues recovery from his broken metatarsal Neymar is out for an estimated seven weeks due to injury suffered last month Brazilian revealed he 'cried for two days' after breaking metatarsal in right foot PSG star will miss his side's second leg against Manchester United He was pictured wearing sunglasses and using crutches in Barcelona By Will Griffee For Mailonline Published: 16:17 GMT, 20 February 2019 | Updated: 16:21 GMT, 20 February 2019 Viewcomments Neymar cut a solumn figure at Barcelona airport, still using crutches as he recovers from a broken metatarsal in his right foot. The Brazilian admitted crying for two days after re-breaking the bone and is still set to be sidelined for another seven weeks. He was pictured in Barcelona wearing dark sunglasses and a vintage tracksuit as he hobbled along. Neymar was pictured looking downcast at Barcelona airport using crutches on Wednesday The Brazilian is nursing the same broken metatarsal as he injured before the World Cup Neymar spent four years with Barcelona but the purpose of his trip back to the city is unknown. The 27-year-old is continuing to receive treatment on the foot injury he also suffered before last year's World Cup. Scans on the injury led PSG to the decision that they would treat it in house with their own medical staff rather than send their asset elsewhere for surgery. But it isn't just the physical anguish of another spell on the sidelines that has troubled the 27-year-old. He admitted the mental struggle has also been difficult to take. 'This time I had a tough time getting over it,' the former Santos striker told Brazilian TV channel Globo. Neymar suffered the injury on January 23 and could be out for almost two more months 'I spent two days at home crying. The first time I hurt myself I said, "I'll have an operation, it has to be fixed as quickly as possible". I wasn't sad.' On paper it looked like Neymar's absence from the Champions League clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford could have been a huge blow for Thomas Tuchel's side. But the Ligue 1 champions saw off their opposition 2-0 in the first leg and are heavy favourites to progress.
