Javier Tebas, head of Spain's La Liga, has emerged as a prime candidate to succeed Richard Scudamore as chief executive of the Premier League, according to reports.
Chelsea chief Bruce Buck, who is leading the search on behalf of the Premier League, has invited all clubs to submit possible candidates.
It is understood Tebas, who has run La Liga since 2013, is among those suggested and is a leading contender, despite his limited command of English.
