Maurizio Sarri laughed off suggestions he met Roma bosses in London over their manager job as the Italian insisted he has a contract to honour with Chelsea.

Sarri is under increasing pressure at Stamford Bridge after a string of humiliating defeats by Bournemouth, Arsenal and Manchester City in recent weeks but was left to reflect on progression to the last-16 of the Europa League on Thursday.

Fans appeared to turn on him during a disappointing FA Cup fifth-round defeat by Manchester United on Monday night but Sarri was bullish when quizzed on reports in the Italian media that he is close to a return to his home country.
