Nick Blackwell has revealed he overcame 'a 75 per cent chance of dying' due to the horrifying extent of the head injuries he first sustained through his fight with Chris Eubank Jnr in March 2016.

Blackwell was taken to hospital and placed in an induced coma after his British middleweight title fight with Eubank Jnr was stopped in round 10 due to severe swelling over his left eye. The injuries curtailed his career.

But in November that year, Blackwell was taken to hospital after being taken ill following a sparring session and needed an operation to reduce the swelling on his brain.
