Jurgen Klopp conceded his Liverpool side came up against difficult opposition when they were held by rivals Everton at Goodison Park, and highlighted troublesome conditions as an obstacle.

The German watched on as the Reds were unable to break the deadlock, despite two golden chances falling to top scorer Mohamed Salah.

By taking only a point Liverpool surrendered top spot to Manchester City, and Klopp was in a reflective mood as the dust settled on the derby.
