sport news Ramsey will help Juve reach Champions League goal and United can contend for ...

Another weekend of Premier League action has drawn to a close, as we head towards the final nine fixtures and the season finale.

Casting an eye back over the action, Sportsmail's AMITAI WINEHOUSE looks at the 10 things we learned.

Aaron Ramsey ready to help Juventus reach Champions League goal

Aaron Ramsey cemented himself again as a man for the big occasion – and there’s nothing Juventus need more than that.

His first-half effort was his third goal involvement – one strike, two assists – in two games against Spurs. They don’t come bigger on the calendar for Arsenal than the north London derby, and Ramsey is the king of them.

Add in his excellent record at Wembley and this is a man who can pull it out in the big games. Given Juventus want a Champions League trophy more than anything, Ramsey might be the perfect player for them.

Manchester United can contend for Premier League next season

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given Manchester United what they needed all along - a title prospect.

For too long the biggest team in the country have been content to just get into the top four. That has been the consistent aim since Sir Alex Ferguson retired. But under Solskjaer, they have won 32 points, five more than any other side in the top flight in that time.

If they carry this on next season they will be right up there. And Solskjaer himself will know that that should be the bare minimum.

Liverpool dip out of control in the title race

The title race has now swung in Manchester City’s favour in a way that it had not for months.

You have to go back to December 7th for the last time Liverpool did not control the division at the end of a round of fixtures. And worryingly for them, City seem to be getting better, while they have drawn four of their last six.

Mohamed Salah has also gone three Premier League games without a goal for the first time as a Liverpool player.

It is not over, but Sunday saw it return to City’s hands.

Eden Hazard has made a Real impression at Chelsea

Eden Hazard might leave Chelsea this summer for Real Madrid, but at least he has provided enough moments to be remembered for.

The modern Chelsea have been defined by a few players, and in an attacking sense there are none more significant than Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba. On Sunday, Hazard became the third Chelsea player, after those two, to both score and assist 50 Premier League goals.

That’s a legacy of sorts. He might lack the trophies of Lampard and Drogba – that may be due to the teams around him rather than individual failings.
