Vincent Kompany does not believe Manchester City have to defend their title to be considered one of the Premier League's greatest teams.

Pep Guardiola's side established new records for most points, most wins and most goals in Premier League history as they won the championship with 100 points last season.

But their achievement was not considered to be on the same level as Arsenal's 'Invincibles' team or the multiple title-winning sides of Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United.
