The deadline to enter this week's Players Championship at Sawgrass passed on Friday night with Tiger Woods still down on the list to compete. Whether he makes it to the first tee on Thursday, however, remains a matter of conjecture.

Paul Azinger threw a spanner into the works on Friday when he expressed concern regarding the neck issue that forced the 43-year-old to withdraw from the Arnold Palmer Invitational last week.

'His neck issue, that's a serious one I feel,' said the former Ryder Cup captain, who has taken over from Johnny Miller as an analyst on American television.
