Mario Balotelli scored against his former club as Marseille extended their unbeaten run in Ligue 1 to six games with a 1-0 victory over Nice at Stade Velodrome.
The Italy striker netted his fifth goal in seven matches as Rudi Garcia's side closed the gap on third-placed Lyon to three points.
Balotelli, who left Nice last January to join Marseille, headed home in the 61st minute to leave his old club lingering in ninth place.
