Sir Alex Ferguson appeared to be in high spirits and good health as he was pictured at the Cheltenham Festival on Friday.
The former Manchester United manager, who underwent an operation on his brain in May last year, was seen smiling as he soaked up the atmosphere on Gold Cup Day.
Ferguson part-owns Clan Des Obeaux, who was a runner in the day's main race.
