Unfortunately for all those present for a wind-affected quarter-final at Vicarage Road, the latest instalment of Wilf and Harry’s amusing sideshow which has provided this fixture with a slightly surreal dimension ever since Watford’s mischievous mascot clashed with Crystal Palace’s best player was postponed.
