England will resist the temptation to call up £100million-rated Jadon Sancho for this summer's European under-21s championship.

The 18-year-old Borussia Dortmund winger is eligible for the prestigious tournament in Italy where his presence would boost England's chances of adding to recent World Cup success at junior levels.

However, The FA are reluctant to draft Sancho in at the expense of players like James Maddison, Ademola Lookman and Ryan Sessegnon who have helped England reach the finals, believing it would send out the wrong signal about loyalty.
