The Colombian goalkeeper received treatment immediately after the nasty clash that left him with a cut to his forehead but was able to play on. Following the treatment, Ospina went on to concede twice before fainting on the pitch without anyone around him in the 44th minute, prompting his worried Napoli team-mates to call for the stretcher. The goalkeeper was tended to immediately again before being driven off the pitch on a stretcher and rushed to a nearby hospital. He would be eligible to face his parent club in the Europa League after Napoli were drawn against Arsenal for the quarter-finals.
