Lukaku sustained the injury in United's stunning Champions League win over Paris Saint-Germain in France a fortnight ago and aggravated it in the defeat by Arsenal at the Emirates four days later. The 25-year-old missed United's FA Cup exit at Wolves last weekend before travelling to Belgium to be assessed by the national team doctors. Romelu Lukaku has returned to Manchester United after being ruled out of the Belgium squad However, he could not train with Roberto Martinez's squad and has been allowed to return to Manchester for further treatment. United hope Lukaku will be able to return for their Premier League games against Watford and Wolves after the international break before Barcelona come to Old Trafford in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final. Lukaku had been in fine form prior to his injury, scoring braces in consecutive wins against Crystal Palace, Southampton and PSG. He has 15 goals for United so far this season, with nine of those coming since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took charge in December.
