Nottinghamshire have re-signed Australian fast bowler James Pattinson as their overseas player for the start of the 2019 season.
Pattinson hopes to use the stint of seven County Championship matches plus the Royal London Cup campaign to force his way into the Australians' Ashes squad - they do not intend to name it until just a few weeks before the first Test at Edgbaston on August 1.
