There was a moment when Callum Hudson-Odoi was standing beside Gareth Southgate and the significance of what was happening began to sink in.
The Chelsea winger, 18 years old and with just 84 minutes of Premier League experience, looked around Wembley and knew he was about to become a senior England international.
Nervousness would have been understandable but then instinct took over. This was the moment he had dreamed about so why let it be ruined by nerves?
