Australia full-back Israel Folau had his contract ripped up after claiming on social media that gay people will end up in hell.  

Rugby Australia acted swiftly on to cut all ties with the 30-year-old, even though his absence will be a hammer blow to the Wallabies’ World Cup chances. 

Sam Stanley is England's only openly gay elite rugby union player. He previously represented England Saxons and has recently been playing for Harlequins reserves. Here, he tells Sportsmail why no English club should sign Folau for the good of the game.
