Roy Hodgson says there is no point in talking about a fair contest between managers such as him and Pep Guardiola until they are given the same budgets.
Crystal Palace host Manchester City tomorrow afternoon and Hodgson knows Guardiola will be expected to leave London with three points.
Palace are one of four teams to have beaten City this season and last term they managed to hold Guardiola's side to a 0-0 draw at home.

The 71-year-old Palace boss says it would be a different contest altogether if they both had similar resources.
Hodgson said: 'The fact is the only way you'll ever really be able to pit wits between one coach and another is if they both have exactly the same team and exactly the same players and one manages to get his team on the field playing a formation that the other one can't match.
'Then you can say "oh, you've pitted your wits against him and you lost".' Hodgson does believe, however, that Palace - in their sixth season in the Premier League - no longer have to rely on the atmosphere at Selhurst Park to make the surroundings hostile for opponents.
