Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde left no one in any doubt about the club’s current priorities when he rested his entire outfield team just three days ahead of Manchester United’s visit to the Camp Nou.
Barcelona were almost unrecognisable as they drew 0-0 with bottom club Huesca ahead of next week’s Champions League quarter-final second leg.
With Lionel Messi resting his cut nose back in Catalonia and Luis Suarez out suspended, Kevin Prince Boateng came in for only his second league start since he joined the club in January. He lined-up alongside Ousmane Dembele who was back from two months out injured.

Valverde replaced every player apart from Marc-Andre Ter Stegen but the reserve lineup failed to record a win at Huesca
Valverde then strung five men across midfield with Senagalese B-team right back Moussa Wague and 19-year-old playmaker Riqui Puig both making their debuts alongside Arturo Vidal, Malcom and Carlos Aleña.
