Juventus defender Andrea Barzagli has announced he will retire from football at the end of the season.
The Italian is approaching his 38th birthday and has decided to call time on a decorated 20-year career, having spent much of this season in the periphery.
Barzagli, who began his career at lowly Rondinella, has spent the past eight years in Turin and has helped the club to re-establish their dominance over Italian football.

An eighth Serie A title is in sight for Barzagli after Juve missed the chance to be crowned early champions following the shock loss against SPAL.
He confirmed after the match that he will be hanging up his boots for good come the end of the season but is unsure what his next step is at this current moment.
'Future? I've thought about it a lot,' he told Sky Sport Italia.
