Raheem Sterling reflected on his two-goal performance against Crystal Palace by insisting the high standard at Manchester City demands an immediate response to any defeat.
Sterling continued his blistering form by hitting a brace against the Eagles, as a late Gabriel Jesus strike secured a 3-1 victory and put City back into the driving seat with a game in hand.
An early miss could have set Sterling up to seal a hat-trick, though pundit Graeme Souness feels the former Liverpool man should already be crowned PFA Player of the Year.
