Some of the leading stars of world football have taken to social media to express their grief and sadness after seeing the horrifying inferno at Notre Dame cathedral.

The roof of the 850-year-old building caved in on Monday night after catching fire, leaving Paris in mourning.

PSG forward Neymar posted a drawing of fictional character Quasimodo, the Hunchback of Notre Dame, crying alongside the words: 'Pray for France'.
