Jofra Archer said he was 'overwhelmed' at his first call-up for England but insisted he will 'not step on anyone's toes' when he is fast-tracked into the squad at the start of a World Cup and Ashes summer.
Archer, 24, will face Ireland and Pakistan next month and, unless something goes drastically wrong, is then expected to be named in England's final World Cup squad on May 22.
But for now he insists the World Cup is not on his mind and is instead grateful the ECB changed their qualification rules from seven years residency in England to three just in time for him to be available for the dual huge challenges ahead.
