Birmingham took the lead twice against play-off hopefuls Derby but were pegged back for a 2-2 draw in a thrilling game at St Andrew's.
Lukas Jutkiewicz and Michael Morrison netted for Blues, but Derby hit back with a chip from Martyn Waghorn and Richard Keogh's header — all in the first half-hour.
Derby boss Frank Lampard said: 'It was a point won as Birmingham is a tough place to visit. It was a hard-fought game.'
